Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find out my Power School login and password?
Stop in the office to find out your Power School login and password. You'll use the same information from 5th - 8th grade.

How do I change my schedule?
Schedule changes need to take place with Mrs. Rusch, Paula, or Deb in the office.

How do I drop band and choir?
Students are only allowed to drop band and choir the first week of school and the first week of second semester. A drop slip must be picked up in the office, which requires students to get signatures from the teacher, a parent, and Mrs. Rusch, the counselor. The drop slip must be returned to Mrs. Rusch prior to the week deadline in order to be removed from the class.

How do I add band and choir?
6th grade students - Permission to add must be given from Mrs. Ropp or Ms. DiGiorgio. You will also need to change your schedule with Mrs. Rusch in the office, as you won't be able to stay in the same classes due to adding either band or choir. Consideration may be taken for those joining band.

7th/8th grade students - Permission to add must be given from Mrs. Ropp or Ms. DiGiorgio. The teacher will notify the office to add the course.

How do I change clubs and exploratories?
Due to limited availability, exploratory classes are not able to be changed. Students wanting to change clubs must meet with Mrs. Rusch to determine the necessity of moving to a new club. Availability, previously taken clubs, current grades, and behavior status will be taken into consideration before moving students. Since clubs are only six weeks long, we'll be selective on allowing students to move as the year continues.

Why do I have the same teachers as last year?
Some teachers at MPMS teach multiple grade levels, so you may have them more than one year.

When will I schedule classes for next year and high school?
5th, 6th, 7th grade students - In the spring, you will work with Mrs. Rusch and your teachers to schedule classes for the following school year.

8th grade students - In the spring, you will meet with Mrs. Rediger and the high school teachers to schedule your classes.
